I have been working as a CT tech for about 10 months (rad tech for 4 years). I just took and (passed with a 93) the CT registry last week. I primarily used this text and its companion review book, studying assiduously for about two months. I felt the content was very well tailored for the exam, and credit my passing score to the content of this text, as well as the companion book, with its access to hundreds on online test questions available with its purchase. I also completed another text, the Mosby book, but honestly found it less organized, short on explanatory details, and over-emphasizing areas not covered in the registry. I will say the access to online mock tests and questions alone probably makes the Mosby book a worthwhile investment. Bottom line: find a system and study it until you can answer all questions in your sleep. Hope this helps.

I bought this book about a week before starting a new job in which I'd be responsible for both plain radiography and CT. I couldn't be any happier with the material covered. It's written from a technologists point of view, and goes indepth about the basics and theory of computed tomography. I've seen a couple of complaints about it lacking step by step instructions for exams, but this will vary a little depending on your hospitals protocol and what type of equipment you're using. Honestly, once you have an understanding of the fundamentals, which this book covers well, it makes learning the exams a lot easier because you actually understand what you're doing and why you're doing it in a particular order. The section on cross-section anatomy is fantastic. I've used it many nights when I was slow to compare it to exams done previously in the day. Very informative, I highly recommend this text for anyone wanting to learn CT.

Great book. It breaks down all the categories you need to know very well. I had to buy this for my CT school, and it was the only book we had to buy since it's all inclusive! When you only need one book for a year... that's always a plus. Do the questions in the back after each chapter! I will say, though, that you'll most likely want a dedicated review book for your boards to study from along with this. I recommend Mosby's Exam Review.

This was what I wanted, and there is a code on the inside of the book that has not been used. However, the book does not look new. The outside cover looks as though someone else has used the book. I purchased this book hoping it would be "new" having plastic on the cover or something like that.

This is my 2nd attempt at the CT registry (failed by 2 points), this book has been a HUGE help. Rather than studying to pass by memorizing, this book teaches method and process!!!

I have been using this textbook to help study. It's format is perfect because it matching up with the Content Outline for ARRT exam.It is easy to follow, and hoping to follow up this review by the end of the year with my test results! Wish me luck.

There are several review books on the market and this one is a must have. I suggest this book to my didactic CT students and require it of my CT clinical students. If you think you might sit for the ARRT CT registry, this is a no brainer. Complete with a rich test bank. Big thumbs up from me.

I love reading the case files of Ed & Lorraine Warren! The first one I read was "The Demonologist", which I had years ago when I was in school. I was fascinated with the tales in there and it was where I was first introduced to "Annabelle."These new editions are much better than the versions I had in the past, with cleaner print, easier on the eyes. Several have photos that are much more clear than some of the previous editions.I am so glad these books are back in print, and in a pleasant, matching collection. Be sure to get all of them, and be ready for many chilling nights reading the spooky stories that will give you lots of restless sleep. :)

This is the fifth book about the Warrens which I have read. The best part of this book about a man suffering from being possessed by animal spirit are Ed and Lorraine Warren. The demonologist and psychic duo shine forth in this disturbing tale about 'werewolvism.' The Warrens provide him the help and connection with an exorcist to help the victim. While not as scary as their other books, this book peels back the emotional and psychic trauma that the victim, Bill Ramsey undergoes. The best and most gripping parts of the book are the revelations about the possession. It was a decent read but not their best. Still, it is worth the time.

I purchased all of the books written by or about the life cases of Ed and Lorraine Warren. They are all incredibly interesting, as well as scary!!! I love them all. This one does not disappoint!!! I completely recommend this one and all the rest of them!!!! Awesome!!!

i purchased a set of books written for ed&lorrane warren. on there most terrifying story's of demonic possession and the aftermaths of these horrific ordeals. These books are written well and open the door to view a vision of hell. These documentary's are truly unsettling and will unnerve the most ardent dis-believers

The story was interesting and draws in the reader. There were some areas of the book that could have had more explanation, which would have made the storyline smoother, but overall I enjoyed the book.

A very interesting read about a very different kind of demon. Would have been interested to know the name of the demon. But Ed never gives them out for good reason.

I have read most Ed and Lorraine books and loved them. But this book sucks clearly this guy suffered from mental health issues and that's it . I didn't like it at all he needed profession medical help not Ed and lorraine . Disappointed big time

This was the first book that I purchased from the Warren's collection. I really enjoyed it. I've always been curious about what's on the other side of the world we see every day. Whether we believe or not, they are certain things out there that can't be explained.

The content of this review question book is adequate. The associated website with the online question bank is just awful, though. I'm a US AP/CP resident studying for boards, and like many others, I've found online medical test prep question banks to be an an excellent study tool in the past: UWORLD served me well for steps I, II, and II, so I was looking for something similar to study for AP/CP boards. Well, unfortunately, the Elservier website associated with this book does not compare well to UWORLD.My main issue with the website design is that several of the features don't even work: you are shown the option of creating tests from your previously 'missed' questions, or from 'flagged' questions, but these options don't actually work (I've tried with Windows and Mac, and with multiple browsers). In the the main "create test" mode, you aren't shown the correct answer annotations when you get a question wrong: you can often infer it from a separately presented explanation, but some explanations are awful and you aren't able to figure out the right answer without going back and finding the same question in "study mode". Images are of horrible quality, or a question will sometimes refer to an image that simply does not exist.I could go on, but suffice to say, it feels as though they just collect the $100+ price of the book/online access, and say 'screw you' when it comes to lack of functionality of the website. We as pathology residents are a captive audience because there aren't many other options out there for question banks, but for the price of this book and website access, the abysmal quality of this website feels like a racket. I wish I had an alternative to recommend.....I did contact their customer service, but have not heard back yet (and doubt they will fix the website regardless).EDIT: I emailed the customer service email address listed on the website: I emailed three times, over the course of about three weeks. I provided screen shots of the issues I was having. No response! I'd suggest finding an alternative study resource.

Review:Lab. mana. Is ok but too many IT stuff, chemistry is too hard and detailed, tons of toxicology and therapeutic drug monitoring that I do not think are important in pathology board exam as they are in chemistry exam, and their place should not be in this book, and taking that huge space and wasting board takers time, coags too many Q on rare syndromes and methodology, too much and unnecessary HLA compatibility questions, microbiology is OK overall. Blood bank questions are relatively few but too many detailed questions of apheresis and HPC!!. Molecular is either too easy or has too many questions focusing on rare entities like mitochondrial diseases. Overall putting too many questions focusing in details on rare aspect in different specialties in clinical pathology will not fit the main path of cp training of pathology resident, but it may fit subspecialties instead, and I don't think their place is right in this book for general CP boards.

Good overall. I looked for a list of errors online and didn't see one, so I'm listing the errors here as they come up.Ch 10. Q33b. D is more correct or at least should be as correct. Pyruvate kinase deficiency causes more burr cells more reliably than uremia.Ch 19. Q77. The answer 4122 is not listed. I used 1 IU/kg raises f8 by 2% and calculated 4122. This is further confirmed by EMPR online medical calculator. All board review materials list the conversion factor listed here and used by EMPR calculator.

I used this book and the Practical Clinical Pathology for my CP boards. I passed. Some questions in this book are ridiculous but gives you an idea how this exam is like.

Great book for board review. I'm about 1/2 way through it, and impressed with the quality of the questions so far.

Great question source, but traveling between questions/answers is bulky. The online version is no better (if not worse)... if you want to study "Hematology and Coag" for instance, there are 325 questions. Nice compilation of McqCovers almost all the topicsAnd provides good explanation for answers.Wonderful book for boards and exams on similar pattern.

That is a fine review for CP board exam. It must be said that it is done by hundreds of mutiple choice questions with explanatory answers at the end of each chapter. I will give 4 stars because I ordered as hardcover and I received a paperback - but no other major problems.
